Great Show At Sop's This Past Saturday Night!!

You came out and full force to help us bring the Sun Gods back!

 In The Mist of Hurricane Ike and by far the longest stretch of rain in our lifetimes, you conquered torrential downpours and gusty winds and a lot of puddles to pack the house!  We couldn't believe how many people decided to whether the storm and party with us!  Sure there were the Crazy Hairdo's and drenched clothes from all the rain, but you worked it out on the dance floor and the next thing you know we were all wet!  Huge thanks to the SOP'S staff for making the night a great one!  If you haven't already, check out the pictures page to see all the craziness that occurred that night!  Our next show is October 11th at Bar Louie then the huge Halloween Party Back At SOP'S On OCT. 31st!

Zooter is now a full fledged member of the Band!

    Hey everybody!  Here's some good news just in off the wire!  Zooter has become a full fledged member of Up For Grabs!  As many of you already know, Kooz, the old guitar player, has moved to Atlanta, GA and is doing wonderful things down there!  Unfortunately, we are up here and needed someone to fill his shows!  After going through a couple of different guitar possiblities, we decided on a guy who is exactly as short as joe is!  ZOOTER!  Zooter, is best known as his work in Tru-Dat, a local band that dominated the area a couple of years ago.  We knew we had a phenomenal guitar player and vocalist.  Something the positon has never had.  You will see Zooter singing lead vocals like every 4th song. LOL  After much anticipation and a very grooling initiation period we are proud to announce Zooter as our permanent Lead Guitar Player!!!  On a Side Note, this guy will blow you away with his comedy and funny stage antics all night long.  We as a band are having trouble playing because we are laughing so hard at this guy!  He's Funny!!  

Summer 2008 Is In Full Effect!

     As the summer heats up and the swimsuits come out, we are working hard in an air conditioned basement on our new show that we will be debuting on September 1st!  We are learning a crap ton of new songs and getting some crazy stage antics worked out for the big show.  For those of you who don't know Up For Grabs is in the Process of Taking the group to the next level!  Be on the lookout for us to be playing in your college town soon.  In the meantime, you can check out "Stripped" which is an acoustic version of Up For Grabs Band.  Check out the upcoming dates for your chance to see the band acoustic!!

    We had a great time at Captain's Wheel.  (See pictures here) Bowlee's brother Bob was there showin' him up on the bass.  Thanks for hangin' and playin' w/ the band.  Hopefully we can see him next time.  We love all of our fans for coming out to support us no matter where we play!  You guys are the best.

     We think there were a record number of birthdays last Friday.  Made for a fun night.  Jerry had a tent.  Carrie from The Mike and Carrie Show (www.MikeandCarrieShow.com) came out.  Sang a version of KT Tunstall's Black Horse and the Cherry Tree to help us with our impromptu finish.

Again, thanks to the Captain's Wheel staff for doing such a great job at keeping everyone happy the whole night.  They worked their asses off!

Next show is:  April 7th - Bar Louie.  This will be our next big push to get people out and "pack the place."  Our first time in the newest and hottest club in Peoria.  If you can't make it to any other show in April, make it to Bar Louie.  This party is going to be insane!  PS.  They have food.
